Projects

Below are some examples of Facebook posts I have made for the Apex Executive Suites Facebook page. During my time at Apex, we put on numerous events for clients which would be advertised by posting these flyers on Facebook and through emails to clients. By doing so, I learned how to effectively advertise an event through social media.

Here's just a small sampling of the work I have done for one of the Apex Businesses Atelier Salon Suites. My job was to work closely with the owners of Atelier Salon as they got ready to open their new salon in the Apex district in Conroe. By utilizing Canva and Adobe Photoshop, I created a new brochure along with Instagram and Facebook posts to promote their new salon.

Here's another small sampling of the work I have done for another one of the Apex Businesses, The Perfect Round. I helped out The Perfect Round by creating Instagram posts and stories for their Instagram page. I created these posts using Canva. I then used Hootsuite to schedule posting times for the following posts.

These next pieces of work were for a school project in my Introduction to Digital and Social Media class my sophomore year. I really enjoyed this project as it not only helped me realize I had a passion for social media but it also gave me the opportunity to work closely with a group of three fellow students who shared the same passion for social media marketing. For this project my group and I had to pick a school organization and transform their social media accounts. We chose the Tech Advertising Federations social media accounts. We recreated their accounts by each choosing a form of their social media to recreate, my job was their instagram page. I then put together several examples of posts they could use by using the app Canva. Our teacher loved how we recreated the Tech Advertising Federations social media accounts and kept my groups project as an example to show her future classes.

My last project I am showcasing here was by far one of my favorite things I got the chance to work on during my time at Texas Tech. I was lucky enough to get a seat in the Advertising Event Branding course. Seats were limited in this course as they do not offer it every semester. Throughout this semester long course you spend all your time planning an event to host at the end of the semester. My class decided on the theme “AD Game day” which was a spin on ESPN’s “College Game day”. My role in the planning for this event was being one of the co chairs of social media marketing. During this semester I got to lead the social media team and monitor what was being posted closer to the event. This experience helped me gain knowledge of how to advertise an event. Overall the event was a complete success and we ended up having a total of over 200 advertising majors participate and come to our event.
